PHILIPPINE ORPHANS

An urgent message asking for funds for the Philippine Orphanage. It's Christmas time and funds are lower than normal. Please let me know if you can send funds asap so we can help these wonderful children have a Christmas. Every year we send money for Christmas but this year we have not been able to raise the needed funds.

Proverbs 19:17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And He will pay back what he has given.

To see pictures of the orphans - see the pictures on my website. If you can and will help please hurry so we can get this to them in time for Christmas.

ANOTHER PROBLEM

We have been sending bi-monthly support to the orphans but starting January 1, 2007 we will be sending it quarterly to save on the expense of transfering the funds.

Recently several supporters of the orphanage have withdrawn for various reasons and will no longer be able to help support these children. That leaves us with a serious problem. All funds that come in for the orphanage go straight to the orphanage. I have a seperate account for this. [Though it goes through Golden Ministries so people can receive their tax receipt.]

We need $550 per month or $1650 quarterly plus the transfer fee of $45 USD. (That's not much considering it supports an entire orphanage of 50-60 children plus staff.) After certain people have stopped support we now only are pledged $750 quarterly. That means we need another $900 plus transfer fee = $945 a quarter or pledges of $315 per month to continue with what we were sending and in all honesty they could use a raise since that amount has not changed in over 8-9 years and their expense have increased as well as the cost of living in the Philippines is more now.

Please pray, talk with your family, your church, your prayers group and see if the Lord is speaking to you about helping these children. All Golden Ministries giving records are open to the public to view and if you like you can even verify those funds with the Orphanage themselves. It all goes to them.

Please consider this Christmas as the Lord says in Proverbs 19:17 as we stated above - a gift that gives directly to Him.

No matter how great the need I try never to ask for funds. I consider my source is the Lord and He knows my needs. Though I do inform you know about upcoming trips and expenses needed for them. But this is not asking for my self or my needs - this is asking for the Orphans. Please let me know if you can be a part of this project that is so near and dear to the heart of God.

Thank you and Merry Christmas,

Rev. Carol
