A Word of Encouragement From The Lord
Isaiah 29:24
The Lord had me look up some things in this verse that were
enlightening to me and I think they will be to you as well. NKJ
Isaiah 29:24 These also who erred in spirit will come to
understanding, And those who complained will learn doctrine."
These who erred; [erred means to stray away from the right
path, be deceived or to wander out of the way] in spirit [in the
inner depth of self] will [this word is a positive promise and means
in a way – you can bank on this because it will happen] come [not
run astray as in the word erred but come] to understanding [perfect
godly wisdom and understanding that changes you, complete knowing.
Like 2 Cor 3:18 when we behold the Lord and are changed from glory
to glory into His image. This knowing changes us.]
AND those who complained [grumbled and murmured but it also
means to rebel. Jesus paid the price for our transgressions Isaiah
53:5 and one of the meanings of transgressions is rebellion – so
those who rebelled] will learn [to goad as with a sharp stick into
the right pathway, to teach to be skillful with the rod as an
incentive. Like the Apostle Paul being knocked from his horse to
know Jesus as savior.] doctrine [instruction received often through
the Holy Spirit, to seize instructions and own it for yourself.]
What a promise – so let’s re-word it in light of these
meanings. Those who willfully strayed away from the right path, even
inside in their spirit, I promise you they will come running to
perfect godly wisdom and understanding that will change them. And
those who rebelled will learn – even if it hurts a bit, They will
learn instruction through the Holy Spirit and receive it and own it
as their own. What an amazing promise.
The Word
Don’t be discouraged at those places of rebellion, self will
and compromise that you can’t conquer – I can and I will, God says.
Position yourself daily in My word (instruction) and in My presence
by My Spirit and I will begin a work only I can finish. Many of you
have been grieved at your failures, weaknesses, and lack of
possessing the land, but don’t let the Devil bring you under attack
with grief, guilt, condemnation and discouragement. It is I who will
change you and restore you and not you yourself. But abide daily in
My secret place and give Me access as I have given you access to Me.
I saw the tear in your soul because you want so to be perfect for Me
and to please Me but lift now your eyes from it and look only at Me
and I will heal and I will restore says the Lord.
Amen
I pray at this holiday season this word is an encouragement to
you and helps you focus more on Him. Jesus is what it’s all
about.
