Back From The Philippines Report
It’s good to be home and hug the grandkids. Thank you for your
prayers. I believe they really made a difference. It was great to
see all of my friends at CPCH; Pastor Abe & Mom Stella always
makes me feel I am coming home and really I am. They are doing a
great work there and the Lord is blessing it. I wish I knew how to
include pictures in the newsletter (but right now I don’t) and I
would enclose some for you but soon we will update our website with
some new pictures of my trip. I have a PowerPoint presentation that
I could send on CD if you special request it.
Youth Retreat
We had about 100 or more youth come. Some came from far away.
Many of the youth are from denominational backgrounds and heard
about the intense time we had last year and wanted to come. When
their parents wouldn’t pay their way they found ways to earn their
own money (they just needed to pay expenses there and back). They
came hungry for the Lord. Many were saved and rededicated their
lives. Many were filled with the Holy Spirit and healed and
delivered. They asked us to please teach them about the in filling
of the Holy Spirit and they were ready to receive.
Their only complaint was that they please want it to be longer
than three and half days next year. It was great to see these youth
not only have fun but also go deep and be touched by the heart of
God. Many of them were feeling the Lord’s presence for the first
time and it meant so much to them. As one of the Youth put it, now I
know for myself the Lord is real because of His presence. This is so
important because there are so many things pushing youth today. They
need His presence to be very real to them so when the enemy pushes
them they have a real experience to fall back on that says God is
real and yes, He loves me.
Can you imagine the youth saying please make the meetings
earlier in the morning (8:00 a.m. instead of 9:00 a.m.) so we can
have more time for teaching. Wow! We did have some fun as well. We
had raw egg fights, water balloons (some with water and some with
shaving cream) a word treasure hunt, and much more. But more than
the fun and the prizes, they wanted the word and the anointing. That
was a blessing to see. True hunger is met by God.
Women’s Retreat
The women’s retreat was a very important way to revitalize
these women. Many of the women said they came so beat up and
discouraged and left ready to continue in the ministry. That is
exactly why we are there. The Lord touched them at a very deep
level. Many testified that it changed their lives. We addressed very
real issues and as always had a time each day for them to ask any
questions they desired. I try to do that in all of my conferences.
Many needed to know things like, how to deal with Jehovah Witnesses
and why is it wrong; why eating blood is wrong if the Lord
sanctifies all food; many catholic doctrines had filtered in because
of their backgrounds and needed to be addressed.
Many were healed in their bodies and also in their soul. They
were healed of deep hurts and disappointments and given new ideas
and encouragement to continue. They learned to smile and laugh
again. But the thing they seemed to appreciate the most was the
teachings. Of the physical healings the ones that stand out the most
are the tumors that disappeared. One had a tumor in the throat, one
in the chest above the breast, and several others. It is wonderful
to feel the tumor going down under your hand, actually dissolving.
One lady had a softball size tumor that was very hard on the back of
her leg. It melted to about one fifth of the size and in the next
couple days she said it was gone. Praise God. Several were healed of
various things. We almost always ask them to check their healing and
make sure it is completely done. All the glory be to God.
Many of these women came from far away and were pastor’s wives
or pastor along side of their husbands. They came with deep hurts
and deep needs. I remember one saying; “But Philippine women have to
work so hard there is no time for the Bible and prayer.” She said
this with tears because it was her great hunger to grow in the Lord.
She is the wife of a pastor. They take care of three churches spread
out in the mountains. He walks many hours in the hot sun to look
after two of the churches and she pastors the church at home. But in
order to even have rice to eat for their 6 children, she also works
in the rice fields sun up to sun down. Then comes home to take care
of the children and still manages to pastor the church. But she is
exhausted and in desperate need of more time for the Lord or even
time to sleep. They have “NO” support. There are several that I know
personally that are in this situation.
It breaks my heart for them. It is almost unbearable. So I have
a desire to start trying to raise support for 6 of these pastors and
their families for $50 a month. That would at least insure they have
food. I have known most of these pastors for years and I am amazed
that they continue to work for the Lord under such hardship but they
really do love the Lord. Several have quit but these are a few of
the ones who are faithful even under hard circumstances. If you are
interested in adopting one of these pastors for $50 a month, let me
know and I will send you their picture and all the information I
have on them. Adopt a pastor. There are others pastors who need
adopted as well but these are the most desperate.
Pastors Conference
It seems the anointing built through the other conferences for
this conference because it was intense. Many of the pastors and
leaders testified on the last night of how the conference teachings
seemed to be exactly for them and addressed their needs and
questions. They were very encouraged and many received deep inner
healing. One said, “Electricity seemed to seize my throat and all I
could do was speak in tongues. I tried to stop but I couldn’t.”
Another said, “I heard the audible voice of God remind me of
something I had heard as a child and forgotten; ‘Be still and wait
on God.’ One leader weeping said he wished he never had to leave
such deep anointing and that he had never had such a deep experience
with the Lord.
One had an intense experience where God let him know the
importance of loving the people. Many wept until they could weep no
more as the intense presence of the Lord manifested. At times the
anointing would be so strong the pianist couldn’t play but just
wept. I would be on the floor with the microphone singing in the
anointing and prophesying in song but unable to get up as wave after
wave of deep anointing would sweep over us.
The last morning before everyone had to begin the long journey
home we had a presbytery meeting (a meeting where we pray and
prophecy over the leaders). It was the most intense. The Lord
reached deep inside to address the needs of the pastors. It is a
very special time. The anointing can flow differently in these
meetings because there are only pastors present and they sit (no
catchers or falling). It is more relaxed and unhurried and more
personal. God would reveal the deep inner cry of their heart
and then answer it. The pastors went home revitalized and ready to
begin again.
Other Ministry
Saturday was out reach day. We would go into places that were a
good distance away to ministry where no church has been started yet,
sort of a home fellowship with a hope to start a church there in the
future. In these places you experience the real Philippines in the
raw so to speak. The people are often very poor. No fans here for
the heat. Many times you are battling for speaking time with
chickens and dogs, which seem to always like to cause a ruckus close
to the gathering.
In one such setting a ‘big’ black pig came right in the middle
of the meeting. I leaned to ask the host if this was their pig (not
wild). Though even a tame pig can take a chunk out of you and this
pig was big. Yes it is their pig. No one tried to shoo it away. It
stayed for a while and then rooted in under a table a couple of feet
away where we were going to eat later. Interesting. Another time I
went to the outhouse to use the bathroom. They had a floor level
toilet like many do. But stacked on it were the freshly washed
dishes because the outhouse was also the only place where they had
water, so the dishes were there half covering the toilet hole. I
knew many people had been going in and out to use the toilet, many
of them children and it would have been impossible for them to miss
hitting the dishes while using the toilet. Since we had just eaten
this was a very interesting discovery. lol
Much of the outreach is miracle evangelism and many were saved.
Many were also healed. One man was healed of brain damage and was
able to move about without being dizzy for the first time in a long
time. His lungs were healed as well and he could breath. People were
healed of stroke paralysis, TB, asthma, and many other things. It
was wonderful to see the miracles of God at work.
Every Sunday morning it was up at 3:00 a.m. and out the door by
5:00 a.m. to go to the radio station to broadcast for 30 minutes.
This is a long drive but a total joy to do. I am often amused at all
the goats at the radio staion. Then back in time for Sunday service
at 10:00 a.m. We had several good reports from these broadcast that
are very far reaching and go into the mountains all around. We
always pray the prayer of salvation and pray for healing for the
people with good results. On Sunday mornings the Lord moved
mightily. Many were saved, or rededicated their lives, several
filled with the Holy Spirit and many healed. One Pastor was sick and
the Lord healed him. He went to the doctor and the doctor verified
it. I love that. We always ask them to check and be sure they are
healed; we never want to just assume. We had a great time with these
services.
The Orphans
You know how I love these kids. They are so dear to my heart
and they pray for me. We were able to have one special meeting just
for the kids. They loved that. I taught them some new songs and they
also sing to me out on the playground. I get and give lots of hugs
when I am there. It is very hard to leave them. They slip me notes
when I leave and say things like I am so happy when you come but so
sad when you leave. And thank you for the God teachings. They love
the anointing. Many of the kids were touched in a very real and deep
way and would often sit in on the grown up teachings instead of
going out to play. Not something many kids would do of their own
accord.
Closing
I am adjusting to the 16-hour times difference and getting
settled in. I thank you for your prayers, your love and your
support. Without your prayers I would not be able to do this. You
team up with me by your prayers. And without financial support I
simply can’t go. So I thank you. You are with me when I go and all
that God accomplishes you are a part of.
I have some more teaching to add to the Soul series that seems
very important and several new teachings to share that I think will
help. The one the pastors seemed to like the most wherever I went
was called “The Place In Between” and I will be sharing that one
sometime soon. As well as one that explains our authority and our
access. Please email me. I love to hear from you. I will be going
July 17- 22 to Ohio to minister in a convention there. If you would
like me to come minister in your church – please let me
know. |
