Newsletter India 2005 –4
There is so much to say and I am trying to keep the details down
to prevent the reports from being so long. So many deliverances and
healings but there is no time to report them in detail. We completed
the battle I call the 3 and 4 of the major stronghold in Kalimpong.
That stirred up a hornet’s nest so to speak. Please keep us in
prayer. Interesting that we were not to attack any of the enemy head
on especially the major enemy of Thimpu but we were just to stop all
power sources.
[I later came to understand Thimpu means something similar to
quicksand, something that pulls you down to the depths and pulls you
under. That would make sense because this enemy was in the deep
caverns of the earth and was not evident on the surface except by
the great oppression, destructions and temples. So this enemy pulled
people down into the darkness and held them captive by his great
oppression.]
As we have talked many times the rivers and waters are a major
source for the enemy to flow through. Also any blood in the land and
there was much blood in the land. Then finally to shut down the
cavern itself, draining the power of it into hell and sealing it off
from anything in or out. This will make any other smaller battles
much easier. The instructions were to worship through to the throne
of God and by that release the Lord to fight, then to follow His
instructions. As you can imagine worship was difficult at first. We
had some of the local people come watch (though we were in a room)
and they were very angry. But we ignored them.
Though it took some time we had a good group and we finally
prayed through. I was ready to go to the river and put things in the
land but the Lord said not this time. The battle was won with God
Decrees and the Holy Spirit fighting through us. That cannot be done
as you choose, you must wait for the anointing to hit and do it
through you. It must be the exact timing for each part and only the
Lord flowing through you, so you must wait for that anointing to
move. The enemy was big and angry but we did not give him our
attention and the Lord won this major battle.
Interesting enough the main enemy being from Bhutan, the next day
we headed for our conference in Jaigon, which is on the Bhutan
border. As you might imagine there was a battle. I cannot emphasis
enough how important it is to keep your heart attitudes and thoughts
pure, to be quick to repent, and never allow yourself to be too busy
to worship and have a personal prayer time that presses in on a
daily basis. Allow the Lord to correct you and appreciate it. In
such intense battles it doesn’t take much out of line for the enemy
to press through to get to you. If you have been attacked hard find
out what in you might be out of line for the enemy to gain that
access and do it without condemnation for yourself or pity. Both of
those are enemy tools and we must not use them. Thank you for your
prayers and the victory won for the Lord.
Bhutan
There has been so much prayer for Bhutan. It is a closed country
to the gospel and to change and very hard to get into. You can for a
very expensive amount (perhaps around $500 daily, obtain a visa for
a couple of days only and a guide that will not let you go anywhere
but where he wants to take you by government permission.) But God
has a plan and a people everywhere. My beloved friend Gamsho who is
from Bhutan was able to get us permission to enter for breakfast
only – very rich food and with a good buttery taste. Their tea is
made with butter and salt instead of milk and sugar. But we went to
the Buddhist Monastery first to pray. It was of course on a tall
hill over looking the entire area.
The children are given very young to the monastery to remain and
be taught to be monks. They have no choice but must remain. It was
chilly but the children were sitting outside studying their scripts.
My heart went out to them but you are not permitted to interrupt.
Bhutan will be having a special council meeting in June or July.
During that meeting they will talk about two very urgent topics. 1.
What to do with the Christians – do we give them freedom or do we
restrain them. 2. Do we become a democracy – which would change the
policy of foreigners coming in and what they can do, including
preaching. These two major decisions could change Bhutan and release
Bhutan to receive the gospel.
I knew we had gained access for one purpose to call in the
synergy of the ages for Bhutan. All of the prayers and fasting for
Bhutan over the ages and all of the blood shed by Christians through
the ages to join with our prayers as we join with the Lord to
influence this council meeting so the Lord can harvest Bhutan.
People may die but prayers remain and we can release them and join
with them with the Lord’s help to have the greater influence in an
area. So praise the Lord please keep these two issues in prayer.
Jaigon Prophetic Leadership Conference
As I said Jaigon is on the Bhutan border. It is a dirty place
with much poverty and sickness. Unlike the mountain regions it gets
very hot here and with all of the open sewage the mosquitoes often
carry sickness. All over much of India there are problems with
having enough water and especially having a good clean water source.
It is nothing to see men and women wearing a thin cloth and bathing
with it on at a water source rather than carrying the water to bathe
with. They have to carry water sometimes very far and over mountains
trails to have water.
But in Jaigon the water problem has become severe. Our first day
we had a bit of rain, just enough to put a few inches in the sewage
ditches. They have open sewage ditches like many places do in third
world countries. This is where toilets or outhouses flow and any
other such water. We were a bit shocked to see the people flocking
to these sewage ditches with containers to scoop up the rainwater
from the sewage ditches for their homes. Any water must be purchased
and some simply cannot afford that. They were pushing the trash and
refuse aside to gather any fluid they could. Needless to say we
prayed for many stomach problems.
The first night, Monday, April 11th we had an End Time
Handmaidens and Servants meeting but others came as well. The Lord
moved powerfully though we had to break through some obstacles. The
next three days of the conference became more and more powerful. As
more and more people heard about the teaching and the miracles the
church became more and more crowded. The church could hold 100
comfortably and squeeze 200 in sitting on the floor. But there must
have been close to 300 that last day because when you prayed for a
person there was no place at all for them to fall but just to lean
back a bit against the next person.
Many Hindu’s came wanting a miracle and several received Jesus as
their savior. This new river or love flowed and it is very
different. Often a person would fall so quickly I was sure they
couldn’t be healed but they were. It flows soft and yet very
powerfully. There were so many wanting prayer that we split into 2
groups. Healing was flowing from both groups. The Lord met the
people at their needs. There were also many delivered. The Lord
ministered to the pastors in a new break through, a refreshing and
in prophetic words.
One sweet pastor’s wife was so precious. With tears she thanked
me hugging me again and again and finally took a silver ring off her
finger and gave it to me, crying that it was all she had to give. I
tried to tell her that her friendship was enough but she insisted.
It fit perfectly; I will never take it off. It is a gift of great
love. What she didn’t know was a couple of month ago I asked the
Lord for a ring. (I have no rings at all.) Nothing expensive or
extravagant, I would never feel comfortable with something like that
but just something simple I could look at and be reminded of His
great love for me every time I looked at it, something that came
directly from Him to me. I had never been given a ring before. What
a miracle of love the Lord worked.
We had pastors come from Bhutan, the surrounding areas of India
and from Nepal. These people from Nepal live in one of the refuge
camps for the Nepal people who were forced to leave Bhutan. 150,000
refuges live in terrible conditions in these camps in Nepal I was
told. There are 7 camps. They are asking that next year we go to
Nepal and minister in some of these refuge camps. If the Lord is in
agreement we will go.
As you can imagine the enemy was very angry with us for breaking
the strongholds and the people set free, saved, delivered and
healed. Though we faced a great attack that was very difficult for
us, I must say it has all been worth it. Paul was beaten and in
prison for doing the same things and he also thought it was well
worth it. How can you ever count the cost? You just can’t and we
won’t.
Delhi
This was my first time to minister in Delhi, though I have been
through Delhi many times and spent the night there many times to
catch a flight the next day, this was different. We worked with
Pastor Amar who is the brother of my friend Brother Gautam. He was a
very kind Pastor that we enjoyed working with. We were greatly
surprised to see about 90% of the congregation was Hindu. They had
come because they heard there would be miracles. These are the
poorest of the poor. It is hard to describe how difficult life is
for many of them. They need a miracle and believe for it.
They had never fallen in the power of God but by the second night
they were coming for this blessing as well. I want God to bless me,
they would say. I would estimate that well over a hundred were
healed in the three days of meetings. My hand, cheek and even my ear
were red from the lipstick dot they wear on their forehead and in
the part of their hair. They would be so grateful for their healing
or the great touch of love they would kneel and touch your feet. But
we told them the Lord Jesus Christ had healed them thank Him. So
many came to the Lord. The pastor will have a lot of follow up to do
to explain to them what being a Christian is and to guide them and
get them started. The Lord directed me to quietly forgive them
before praying for them. This made a big difference in the
effectiveness and quickness of the healings.
Again the power of God was intense, yet soft. One woman the first
night came for deliverance, though she didn’t tell us that. She had
been tormented by a curse. She had been delivered before but I
always came back. It was a very difficult situation with many
demons. She would begin to thrash about and speak harshly, shaking
and yelling. This eventually stirred up the demon in someone else
but I was not going to be distracted by that. The Lord said, this
one is not mine and to be free of this type of enemy she must be
mine. So in the middle of the thrashing about and the enemy trying
to interfere we led her to the Lord. Now we had legal grounds.
When the main demon saw he would have to leave he told me he
would kill her. But of course we bound that. I found out later he
said the same thing through her in her own language. Strange because
the same thing had happened in a couple of other deliverances when
it was finally over and the demon was leaving the person who knew no
English, would speak in perfect English and say, "I go", or
something similar. We gave her instructions on how to break the
curses daily and remove them from her land. She had someone cursing
her daily and she did not want this to come back. She came again the
last night and brought a small gift to thank us. She also brought
others who needed healed. This is the way to bring in God’s harvest.
One older woman we prayed from began to speak in demonic tongues.
I am finding this more and more. In the demonic tongues they either
curse or call the demons we are casting out back in. It is hard to
get them to stop sometimes. I check this by asking the local people
what she is saying. When they have no idea then it is confirmed that
she is speaking in demonic tongues.
If you will remember before we left on this trip the Lord said
evangelism but how were we going to do that speaking in conferences
and churches. Now the Lord had not only worked in the school in
Kalimpong for evangelism but also at this church bringing in many
Hindus to be healed and saved. This will spread and many more will
be saved. When you get one healed and saved in a family it often
spreads through that family as they see the difference in that
persons life. Praise the Lord.
Goodbye Larry - Job Well Done Hello Don
With only a little over an hour of sleep we left for Hong Kong. I
was not looking forward to a long flight when I was already so tired
but the Lord worked an amazing miracle and without my asking I was
moved to Business Class. There I was able to get some sleep.
We will miss Larry. His anointing with the Shofar and Fire is
intense. Often he would just head into the crowd and people would
fall left and right. When people refused to go forward he would go
to the back of the room and minister to them. May the Lord richly
bless him for his work in India and bring him back again. Don
Toothman joined us yesterday. Please keep him in prayer as we are
ministering here in Hong Kong. But that is another Newsletter.
Don’t you think we know that it is your prayers and faithfulness
with us that releases the Lord to move so wonderfully? Thank you.
Please keep us in prayer for guidance, protection, provision and
strength as we continue.
